TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body.
TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It makes you lose excess water through urine, hence try to take it at day time or 4 hours before bedtime to avoid frequent urination at night. It should be taken as your doctor’s advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.
Nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, headache, and dizziness are some common side effects of this medicine. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. This medicine should be used along with lifestyle changes like a healthy diet, regular exercise and smoking cessation for best results. You are advised to drink plenty of fluids to overcome mouth dryness and extreme thirst.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR may be taken with or without food.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
How it works
Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate, while Telmisartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to further relax blood vessels.

BreastfeedingCONSULTTelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.
DrivingUNSAFETelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Use of TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
- You have been prescribed TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR for the treatment of high blood pressure.
- Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent stroke and heart attack.
- It may cause more frequent urination. Take it at least 4 hrs before bedtime to avoid waking up to urinate.
- It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
- It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
- TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.
- Do not stop taking TelmiRAAY-CM2 Tablet SR suddenly without talking to your doctor.
