Product Overview
CilniRAAY-TM Tablet ER is a medicine used for the treatment of patients with uncontrolled essential hypertension (high blood pressure) when a single medication is not effective. It helps lower high blood pressure, thus reducing the chances of future cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.
CilniRAAY-TM Tablet ER can be taken at any time of day. It is best taken with food, but take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Maintaining an active lifestyle through regular exercise, managing your weight, and consuming a healthy diet will also help regulate your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine.
CilniRAAY-TM Tablet ER may cause side effects like nausea, taste change, throat infection, back pain, and ankle swelling. To reduce ankle swelling, raise your legs while sitting. It is also advised to avoid a potassium-rich diet or supplements while on treatment. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, blood sugar level, and electrolyte levels while on the treatment.
Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking, especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions.

How it works
CilniRAAY-TM Tablet ER is a combination of three medicines: cilnidipine, metoprolol, and telmisartan. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB), and telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood pressure when single or dual therapy is not effective.
